The by-election for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat to be held on November 21st is fast approaching. However, TDP Supreme Nara Chandrababu Naidu has not yet announced any schedule for campaigning for BJP candidate Devaiah.
Although BJP leaders have requested Chandrababu to take part in the campaigning, Naidu declined citing few political reasons. If Babu campaign, then the TDP cadre and vote bank will also show inclination towards the BJP candidate.
Why Babu said no to campaign? Here is the reason. Until few months ago, Chandrababu crossed swords with his Telangana counterpart KCR regarding the cash-for-vote and Phone Tapping scandals.
However, after KCR attended Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony, things looks to settle down between the two. Now, Naidu doesn’t want to spoil this healthy atmosphere by campaigning for BJP against the interests of TRS Candidate in Warangal by-election.
Chandrababu feels that any disturbance at this point will once again force KCR to further dig into his involvement in the much debated ‘cash-for-vote’ scam.
However, as an official ally, BJP cadre wants TDP supreme to campaign for the candidate of their party. if not, it might anger the party at National Level.
