Bombay HC Acquitted Salman Khan in Hit-and-Run Case

In a sensational judgment, the Bombay High Court has today, on 10th Dec, acquitted Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case, putting an end to the 13-year long case.

Justice AR Joshi has today asked Salman Khan to personally attend the court proceedings while the judgment is read out. The Bollywood star rushed to the court at around 1.30 PM this afternoon. The court then pronounced the verdict acquitting Salman of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

Salman is announced guilt-free on the grounds that evidence provided by the prosecution was not sufficient to conclude that the actor was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened in which one person died and few were injured.

It may be noted that earlier in May this year a Sessions Court had sentenced Salman Khan for five years imprisonment on the charges of “culpable homicide not amounting to murder”. Immediately, the actor appealed in the High Court and the verdict has finally come in Salman’s favor.

While his fans are celebrating, few people expressed their anger on social media.
