Juvenile Convict of Delhi Gangrape to WALK FREE on 20th Dec

India has once again proved that people here are so tolerant that they can even forgive the person who gruesomely raped a girl, on the grounds that he is a juvenile.

One of the six convicts of the 2012 December 16th gruesome gangrape in a moving bus was a juvenile. He was then sentenced for just three years in a special home for being a juvenile at the time of the heinous incident. He will now walk free on December 20th, 2015, a decision which has invited wrath on social media but none could do anything to stop it.

Delhi High Court said that the maximum punishment for a juvenile in the special home can’t go beyond 3 years so an order extending his stay could not be issued. The juvenile convict will be handed over to his parents after the release and his identity will be kept secret due to security concerns. He will be under the scanner of Child Welfare Officer for 2 years post his release.

Parents of the Gangrape victim have expressed their dissatisfaction over the verdict given by the Government and Judiciary system. Finally, the justice is not done to them or the victim.
