Shah Rukh Khan has refused to comment on whether justice was delivered by releasing the juvenile involved in the 2012 ‘Nirbhaya’ Delhi gang rape case, a good move to avoid another controversy after ‘Intolerance’ issue.
SRK was cornered by the media at that time and his statement over ‘Rising Intolerance’ was misinterpreted leading to protests against him and his latest release ‘Dilwale’. So Shahrukh cleverly avoided the query by saying,
“I don’t know this yet, I will tell you honestly. I am not going to answer anything which is a serious issue on a platform like this. At this point of time, I believe it is completely a wrong place, wrong time to be on a Film platform promoting a film, talking to people here, mostly entertainment journalists, and then getting to a serious issue like this.
So please excuse me. I speak for Kajol too. And I would be on a platform to answer questions like this after I understand it myself,” said Sharukh at a media meet promoting “Dilwale”.
