A Director who Lived & Died for Cinema

We have so many Filmmakers who make us proud but rarely, we come across filmmakers who would sacrifice their lives for cinema.

Malayalam film director Rajesh Pillai is one such passionate filmmaker who lived with only the passion, cinema and sadly died for that same passion.

Rajesh Pillai has passed away this morning at a private hospital in Kochi undergoing treatment. He was said to have been suffering from liver cirrhosis for a long time and was hospitalized many times in the last few months.

As pre reports, the 41 year old director was admitted to the hospital on 25th of this month and was immediately put on the ventilator. However, he succumbed to death at 11:45 am today.

Even though his health was deteriorating, he continued to postpone his operation to complete his yesterday, 26th February, released film “Vettah”. Sadly, he could even see the result of his film.

Earlier, Rajesh Pillai made critically acclaimed Malayalam films like “Traffic” and “Mili”. Traffic was released in Tamil and Telugu to positive response.
