One of the most anticipated movies of last year was Aanand L Rai directed ambitious project Zero which had Superstar SRK and Anushka and Katrina in lead roles. The film showcased SRK in a never before dwarf avatar, and thus people had loads of expectations with the movie.
However, upon release, the film was massively backfired by the Audiences and critics. The script was declared to be poor, and even the length of the movie was made to put into question. All these factors attributed Zero of being one of the biggest disappointments of 2018.
However, Aanand L Rai, who is known for giving great hits like Ranjhaana and Tanu Weds Manu series, in his recent interaction with media revealed he is not thoroughly disappointed with the failure of Zero.
While talking to PTI, Aanand L Rai was asked about Zero’s failure. The director said, “I won’t say I am disappointed. I will need to understand (what went wrong). This is the story I wanted to say, and I made it. After making Ranjhaanaa and Tanu Weds Manu and the second one, this film (Zero) was due for me to make. To take a certain flight and I have not landed on it properly.”
