The demand for aviation personnel is rapidly increasing in the country but there are not sufficient institutes which can offer courses for pilots, engineers, cabin crew, air hostess, security experts and others, all under one roof.
According to latest reports, Government-owned Air India, for sometime, has been planning to establish a full-fledged Aviation University to offer all the necessary aviation courses. For this, Air India has selected Central Training Establishment (CTE) in Hyderabad.
Air India has all the necessary Infrastructure and faculty at CTE. The national carrier is planning to convert this Training institute into a full-fledged University by upgrading the facilities.
If we go into the history, CTE was set up on a campus spanning 20 acres, in 1958. The institute, for now, offers various courses for pilots, engineers, cabin crew and air hostess.
So, this facility might soon become the new Aviation University. Process for this is currently underway.
