Tamil star hero Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s next Movie referred as “Vijay60” has been officially launched with a formal pooja in Chennai on 19 January.
The launch happened without much fanfare. Surprisingly, even Vijay wasn’t present at the launch event for his 60th Film. Vijaya Productions, which produced Ajith’s hit film ‘Veeram’, is bankrolling this high Budget film.
Malayalam Superstar Mammooty might join Vijay in this action entertainer to be directed by Bharatan. After Mohanlal in ‘Jilla’, this film will mark Vijay’s union with Mammootty. An official announcement is awaited though.
Rumor is that a few big names are being considered to play the leading lady. Kajal Aggarwal is the prime contender though to bag this prestigious film. However neither the actress nor the makers confirmed the news. It is also heard that Vijay himself recommended the name of Kajal for his film after their successful pairing in ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Jilla’.
Meanwhile Vijay’s upcoming movie “Theri” shooting has been wrapped up just the other day. Post-production works have begun.
