Indian Cricketer Amit Mishra was today arrested by Bangalore police. The leg spinner was arrested in connection with a case filed a lady accusing him of Sexual Assault.
The Bangalore police took him into custody after almost four hours of questioning However, he was given bail soon after the arrest as he was booked on bailable offence.
A case was filed against Mishra couple of days back by one of his female friends alleging that he sexually assaulted her in a hotel room during a national camp in Bangalore. The police filed case on Amit Mishra under IPC sections 354 and 328.
As per rumors, the cricketer is pleading the lady to drop the charges but she is not in the mood to do so. With the case turning ugly, his inclusion in the National squad for upcoming India tours is highly unlikely said sources.
