In a surprising incident, South African Cricketer Hashim Amla has refused to give an interview to a Female Indian TV Anchor alleging that she was underdressed.
Hashim Amla, who follows and practices the preaching of Islam with heart, was said to be uncomfortable with the low-neck top and short wore by the lady who came to interview him. After he placed a condition asking her to dress properly, the anchor changed her clothes and came back.
It may be noted that Amla’s origins are in Gujarat, India.
Even in the past, Amla showed his integrity towards prohibited acts in Islam. He refused to endorse ‘Castle’ beer advertisement on South African Team Jersey and was ready to pay a fine of $500 for it.
In another incident, Ten Sports sacked Commentator Dean Jones for calling Hashim Amla as ‘Terrorist’ on live TV during a Test Match between South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Amla recently stepped down as the Test skipper after his team’s poor performance against India and England.
