AP Govt. Announce Rs 1000 Cr & Sub-Committee for Kapus

After an eight-hour-long cabinet meeting with ministers, Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrbabau Naidu has announced the benefits for Kapus.

Responding to the agitation of Kapu community people led by Ex Minister Mudragada, the AP govt. announced that it will release Rs 1,000 crore for Kapu Corporation in the next Budget. The cabinet also decided to form a cabinet sub-committee to look into the feasibilities of inclusion of Kapus in backward classes (BCs).

The sub-committee formed by the State Government includes ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, KE Krishnamurthy, Kollu Ravindra and China Rajappa. It may be noted that all these ministers hail from the Kapu community. The sub-committee will coordinate with Justice Manjunatha commission.

Meanwhile Kapu, there is tension surrounding in state after Mudragada Padmanabham announced that he will sit on indefinite fast along with his wife from 5th Feb. opposition YCP is looking to use this volatile situation in the state to dethrone TDP.
