AP Govt. Puts Check to all ISPs

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has launched the much awaited scheme ‘AP FiberNet’ and started the proceedings to put check to all the Internet Service providers (ISPs) in the state.

State Government planned to provide low-cost broadband connectivity for all the 1.3 crore households and business Operations in the state and it already has struck a deal with Cisco in this regard.

AP FiberNet will provide 15 mbps speed at a meager cost of Rs 149 per month for households and for business operations it will be 100 mbps at a price of Rs 999 per month. AP Fiber Grip Project is being sponsored by Union Government’s National Optic Fiber Network.

If this scheme becomes a reality by July 2016, as announced, all the existing Internet Service Providers will lose their Market as the prices of AP FiberNet are highly cheaper in comparison.
