Andhra Pradesh government will soon have night safari implementation on the lines of Singapore’s Night Safari.
The state government plans to set up Night Safari centres at various locations across the state. Andhra Pradesh will be becoming the second state in India to set up night safaris after Uttar Pradesh. In 2014, Uttar Pradesh announced plan to develop a night safari along the Yamuna Expressway. Singapore is the First Country to set up a night safari in 1994.
An eco-tourism Wing has been started to work in co-ordination with the Tourism Department. This wing will prepare a master plan to develop Jungle resorts, Jungle trail, Mountaineering, Rock Climbing spots and night rides across AP including a Tiger Safari in Srisailam Tiger reserve, development of Elephant Safari at Kuppam, Bird Sanctuaries located at Pulicat, Nelapattu, Kolleru, Telineelapuram.
The wing has also been directed to identify other Eco-Tourism attractions based on wildlife and other natural resources to develop them as tourist destinations.
