The just announced Union Budget has been another disappointing one for the people of newly formed Andhra Pradesh state but the Modi led union government has did fair Share of justice for Visakhapatnam.
Of the budget allocated for Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam got the highest share.
Rs. 1,678 crore for Visakhapatnam Steel Plant,
Rs. 231.68 crore for Visakhapatnam Port Trust,
Rs. 30 crore for IIM in Visakhapatnam,
A token amount of Rs. 1 lakh for the Metro in Visakhapatnam, a clear hint that the Modi Government will soon provide more funds.
Soon after the allotted funds arrive, several pending works in Steel Plant and Port Trust will commence. The IIM Vizag will also get its first building ready with the sanctioned 30 crore.
It may be noted that Visakhapatnam has been declared among the top 20 smart cities selected by the centre.
