Akhil Akkineni’s debut Film ‘Akhil’, which was supposed to have Worldwide release on 22nd of this month, has been postponed now, much to the shock of Akkineni fans.
While many are making connections for this postponement as an effect of ‘Bruce Lee’ and ‘Rudhramadevi’, we hear another reason. Surprisingly, ‘Baahubali’ has also played a key role in the postponement.
The first worldwide TV premiere of ‘Baahubali’ is slated to take place on MAA TV on 24th of this month, which was just two days after the release of Akhil. One could imagine the hysteria Baahubali could create on the day of its debut on TV.
No other event can top the effect of Baahubali on 24th October so makers of Akhil have considered this as a huge threat to collections at Box Office. Baahubali still continues to intimidate other films.
Makers of ‘Akhil’ have not yet announced the release date. Since Diwali season is also fully packed, maybe the film is postponed for indefinite period.
