Bollywood super star Salman Khan’s latest blockbuster Film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which won hearts of millions of Audience across India and Pakistan, will now be dubbed in sign language for the sake of deaf-mute cine goers.
It is heard that this decision was taken following the request of deaf-mute Indian girl Geeta, who was stranded in Pakistan for years. After the release of ‘Baj…’ her story came into limelight and Indian authorities have made arrangements to bring her back to the country soon.
Sign language interpreter Gyanendra Purohit, who will dub the film in sign language, had interacted with Geeta using Video call. Geetha suggested that Bajrangi Bhaijaan should be dubbed into sign language for the large number of deaf-mute fans like her to be able to watch and understand the film in a better way.
In the past, films like Sholay (1975), Gandhi (1982), Munnabhai MBBS (2003) Taare Zameen Par (2007) etc had been dubbed into sign language.
