The new superhero Movie ‘Deadpool’ has finally been allowed to release in India.
There was a lot of nail-biting suspense over the release of this subversive superhero blockbuster ‘Deadpool’, after its content was panned and the Film was banned in several parts of the world including China.
The rigid Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has however passed Deadpool for an Indian release with 7 cuts. Deadpool has been granted an ‘A’ certificate.
Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani said, “We have made very general cuts. If you look at what has happened to Deadpool in China, it was apparently banned because any number of cuts was seen to hamper the storyline of the film. I can assure you the cuts we’ve requested in no way affect the storytelling. We are very clear that films made for Adult viewing won’t be cut if they do not contravene censorial guidelines.”
Deadpool was panned for its crude humor, gore, sex and violence.
