BCCI Announced Rs 2 Crore Reward for Team India

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has today announced a cash award of Rs 2 Crore for the Indian Cricket team for beating South Africa 3-0 in the Test series.
BCCI tweeted, “BCCI announces an award of Rs.2 crore to the Indian Cricket Team for their 3-0 series win against South Africa.”

India defeated the World No.1 Proteas by 337 runs in the final Test at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium in New Delhi to win the four-match series 3-0. With this win, India climbed to the 2nd place in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings.

It is known that India won the first Test by 108 runs at Mohali and the 3rd test by 124 runs in Nagpur. The 2nd test at Bangalore was rained off.

India was holding the 4th position before the start of the series with 100 points. The series result has helped India gain 10 points to reach 110, ahead of Australia and Pakistan. Hashim Amla’s side has retained the No.1 Test ranking despite the 0-3 loss. However, Proteas side has lost 16 points to come down to 114 from 130.
