BCCI New President Elected

Shashank Manohar has been unanimously elected as the new President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the General Meeting of the BCCI that was held in Mumbai on 4th October.

Mr Manohar is a Nagpur-based Lawyer, whose first stint as BCCI President was during 2008 to 2009 and 2010 to 2011. This will be his second stint as BCCI’s president. His firm stand on Corruption and clean image have made him an automatic choice for becoming the BCCI President.

This step has been taken post the demise of BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya. He got elected for BCCI’s president post in March this year post the Supreme Court’s instruction for N Srinivasan to step down due to corruption charges.
