An unusual demand of declaring Bhagwad Gita as National Book and Cow as the Mother of the Nation was witnessed during the Zero Hour in Lok Sabha.
Few BJP MPs led by Yogi Adityanath put forward the demand of Bhagwad Gita being declared as National Book. He opined that the teachings of Bhagwad Gita can be considered as a guide to humanity. In present times when terror threats are being seen just about anywhere, the Gita teachings can show people the light.
Adityanath urged the Union government to organize Gita Festival every year and make Gita a part of school curriculum. Several BJP MPs supported Yogi Adityanath’s demands.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire came up with the demand of declaring Holy Cow as the Mother of the Nation. He recalled the benefits people are getting from the cow’s milk and urine. He added that cow milk is part of even the poorest people and informed about the usage of urine and dung to treat many deadly diseases.
However many leaders opposed the demands of these religious fanatics.
