A Big Blow To Congress In AP, As Nadendla Joins Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena

Nadendla Manohar previously had a meeting with Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad.

Former Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker and senior Congress leader Nadendla Manohar has decided to quit the Congress Party and join the Jana Sena Party founded by Pawan Kalyan.

According to media reports, Nadendla has already sent his resignation letter to the Congress party headquarters in Delhi through fax.

He now is all set to join hands with Pawan Kalyan, according to reports.

It is worth noting that in June this year, Nadendla had a meeting with Pawan Kalyan at his residence in Hyderabad. The meeting led to the speculation that he would soon join the Jana Sena Party.

Nadendla has been one of the prominent personalities in Andhra Pradesh congress.

Nadendla was elected as the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker in June 2011. He is an elected Member of the Indian National Congress from Tenali Constituency of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh in 2004 and 2009 General Elections.

Prior to his election as Speaker, Nadendla served as the Deputy Speaker of the A.P. Legislative Assembly and chaired committees including the House Committee which probed the functioning of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (Primary School Education) in Andhra Pradesh.

Nadendla has served the Congress Party in various capacities and as General Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, he focused on developing NSUI and Youth Congress in A.P.
