A lower court in Bihar has today issued summons against Lord Hanuman, instructing him to appear before the court.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Rohtas, Bihar has asked the Hanuman to appear in court after hearing a complaint of encroachment in connection with a roadside temple dedicated to him, filed by the Public Works Department. Interestingly, the court’s summons was pasted on the idol of Hanuman in the temple.
In its complaint, the Public Works Department has requested the court’s intervention to remove the ‘Panchmukhi’ Hanuman temple from the locality saying it is obstructing vehicle traffic.
Some Bajrang Dal activists and local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers opposed the court notice to Lord Hanuman and they demanded it to be withdrawn.
Earlier this month, few Bajrang Dal activists forced the authorities to cancel an encroachment notice issued against ‘Bajrang Bali,’ the god in a roadside temple constructed in a nearby area.
