West Bengal seems to be the hot favorite of the BJP. The Bengal government seems to be giving its very best to impede and stop the rallies and rath yatras of the BJP.
Not so long ago, the Calcutta High Court denied permission to the BJP to organize rallies after citing reasons of possible breach of communal harmony. Today, the BJP’s firebrand leader Yogi Adityanath was denied permission. And yes, there wasn’t any prior notice.
Amidst all the hurdles, violence and denials, PM Narendra Modi has kick started a high-octane Lok Sabha poll campaign. The BJP is hell-bent on winning at-least 22 of 42 Lok Sabha seats. More than 300 high-intensity rallies have been planned. The ruling TMC government has issued dire warnings to people to stay away from the BJP rallies. However, the public response is phenomenal.
There’s a huge logistical challenge. There are threats of retribution. The BJP is more than capable of outdoing its political opponents in every aspect.
