Kapu movement leader Mudragada Padmanabham has called off his fast unto death this afternoon, following 90-minute discussions with the high-level team dispatched by the chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
AP TDP President Kala Venkata Rao and Minister Atchanaidu offered lemon juice to Mudragada after he expressed satisfaction over the message sent by chandrababu.
As per the agreement, instead of Rs 1000 crore funds, Kapu Corporation would get Rs 500 crore to the Kapu beneficiaries this year itself. The tenure of Manjunadha commission will also be cut short from nine months to three months. Mudragada called off his fast after his demands were answered positively.
Minister Kala Venkatarao said that the Manjunadha Commission has already been asked to finish the work soon. He also said that there would be no cases on Kapu youth over the Tuni Violence. Further action will be taken after investigation.
Mudragada expressed his satisfaction over the move of TDP govt. we can expect the return of normalcy in the state now.
