Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy demands Modi to Adopt Rayalaseema

Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi President Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must adopt Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh and develop it. Along with his supporters, he held protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi with the name ‘Jala Saadhana’.

Speaking at the occasion, Byreddy said, ‘Rayalaseema districts are hit with drought and Farmers are committing suicides. All the projects are being constructed only keeping Kostha districts in mind and Rayalaseema people are not getting anything.’

He added, ‘Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been singing the Song of capital city Amaravati from the morning to night and he has completely forgot about Rayalaseema region. Even the recently started Pattiseema project will help Krishna district farmers only but not Rayalaseema ones’.

It is an undeniable fact that Rayalseeema is hit with drought and farmers are either committing suicides or migrating to other places. No one must be blamed for this situation but the leaders of the region themselves.

Despite many leaders from this region have worked as the chief ministers of united AP, they did not do anything for the region but only concentrated on faction wars and strengthening their position in the region. Many projects were started but they remained either in development stages or on papers.

Probably Modi should look at the region once so that people of this region too live as farmers.
