Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to have decided to involve everyone in the construction of the capital city, Amaravati. This core idea is great but the implementation seems to be not good.
By saying that capital construction will be remembered in the history, Chief Minister has started ‘Mana Matti-Mana Neeru’ programme with the intention of making people of 13 districts contribute.
As part of this ‘Mana Matti-Mana Neeru’ programme, ‘Soil and Water’ is being collected from 16,000 villages of 13 districts. This tiresome exercise will continue for 3 days and the whole collection will be placed at the venue of foundation ceremony, on October 22nd.
This exercise will take so much time and manpower to finish. Touring the 16,000 villages is not an easy task and it will require huge expense of public money. Even without this programme, the ceremony can be conducted but Babu has tied the sentiments of people with this ploy.
