Chandrababu Naidu dedicated Thotapalli Reservoir to the Nation

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has yesterday, on 10th September, has inaugurated the Thotapalii reservoir in Vizianagaram district and dedicated it to the nation.

After releasing the water from Right Canal, speaking at the occasion he said, ‘today is my marriage day and I have the satisfaction of starting a good work. I had laid the foundation stone for this project in 2003 and now, after 12 years, I have only inaugurated this project. This clearly shows how the former governments have worked.

Babu added, ‘At present, Right Canal is supplying water for 50,000 acres and by coming December, the project will be finished and it will then supply water for 1,32,000 acres. Farmers have donated many lands for the construction of projects and capital city. The State Government will always be indebted to them and we will take necessary action to repay them.’

State govt. has already pooled around 33,000 acres for the construction of the capital city and they are now looking for another 2,300 acres.
