One of the most wanted criminal for Indian government Chhota Rajan, was arrested the other day by the Indonesian police officials in Indonesian island of Bali. Chhota was arrested by the Interpol officials after receiving a tip-off from Australian intelligence agency.
Chhota Rajan was a close aid of mafia don Dawood Ibrahim and wanted in 17 murders and several attempted murder cases. He has been evading the police net for well over two decades now. Not only in India but he was most wanted criminal in several other countries.
Chhota Rajan, who was once a follower of Dawood, had fallen out with him in 1996 after the bombings and became his arch enemy. There is rumor that the 55-year-old mafia don had planned his arrest so that he can save his life from Dawood as the latter has been trying to eliminate him even since they became enemies.
Whatever the reason, Police officials of India have breathed a sigh of relief after Chhota’s arrest.
