Citizens of UK, Iceland Can Move To Each Other’s Countries In All Brexit Scenarios – Key Details Here!

The UK and Iceland have signed an MoU on transitional migration to ensure both the nationals will be able to continue to move to each other’s countries in all Brexit scenarios.

The United Kingdom and Iceland on 4th November signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on transitional migration to ensure both the nationals will be able to continue to move to each other’s countries in all Brexit scenarios.

The Department for Exiting the European Union said in a statement, that under this new agreement, UK nationals and their close family members would be able to move to Iceland and apply to stay for at least three years as well as to work, study and access benefits and services if the deal with the EU is not ratified.

The nationals of Iceland and their close family members would also be able to move to the UK to live, work and study as they do now and retain access to benefits and services until 31 December 2020.

During this time, they will be able to voluntarily apply for three years leave to remain under the European Temporary Leave to Remain Scheme.
