Saritha S Nair, who was accused and arrested in Solar Scam, has made a sensational revelation when she appeared before the G Sivaranjan Commission for questioning.
Saritha revealed to the judicial panel that she bribed Rs 1.9 crore to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed for her alleged solar projects. Chief Minister’s close aide Thomas Kuruvila was the person to receive the amount on behalf of the CM.
Saritha also revealed the total amount was paid in two installments as per the instructions given by the Additional Private Secretary of CM Chandy. Saritha also quoted the dates of her meeting with the CM at his office in June 2011.
After the CM asked her to meet Thomas Kuruvila, she met him on December 27, 2012 at Vigyan Bhavan in National Capital. Saritha offered the total Rs 1.9 crore to Kuruvila in two installments of Rs 1.1 crore and Rs 80 lakh.
On the other hand, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy dismissed the allegations against him made by Saritha.
