Talented Malayalam actress Nitya Menen was part of an unwanted controversy in 2011, just before the release of her debut Telugu Film ‘Ala Modalaindi’.
At that time, reports of Nitya’s alleged statements in which she said that she didn’t know Prabhas made a huge splash and angered Movie lovers. Several media houses called Nitya an arrogant and headstrong actress.
In her latest interview to a popular media house, Nitya clarified the whole issue. The curly haired beauty revealed that she used to watch very few Telugu Films at that time and she didn’t know anyone from Tollywood except senior actors except Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Balakrishna and Akkineni Nagarjuna.
She further revealed that during a promotional interview, when the journalists mentioned Prabhas’s name, she couldn’t hear it properly and asked ‘who?’.
Few journos used that opportunity and quickly propagated that Nitya Menon didn’t know who Prabhas was. ‘That whole issue was bloated out of proportion but frankly after I came to known of Prabhas I respect him a lot,’ concluded Nitya.
