In the Maharashtra Assembly, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ minority BJP Government has won a confidence motion through a voice vote, in the midst of much show and controversy.
“The motion has been passed,” Speaker Haribhau Bagade advertised in the din and proceeded onward to the following plan.
He later said outside the House, “I have followed procedure.”
Mr Fadnavis tweeted a thank you and said, I guarantee that each step by our govt will be in light of a legitimate concern for people of Maharashtra.
The NCP has offered external support to Mr Fadnavis, to ensure a stable government.
