With their upcoming Films ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ clashing at the Box Office on 18th December, Shah Rukh Khan and ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali have recreated the box office battle happened between them for Diwali 2007.
The duo had then created a stir in the Industry by releasing their films ‘Saawariya’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’ on November 9, 2007, eight years back. While SRK launched Deepika Padukone in ‘Om Shanti Om’, Bhansali launched Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in ‘Saawariya’. Unfortunately, it was a setback for Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ as it was swept away by SRK’s ‘Om Shanti Om’.
The hit pairing of Shah Rukh and Kajol is making comeback with ‘Dilwale’ after a gap of five years, with their last appearance in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’ in 2010. Deepika and Ranveer appeared together in ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela’ in 2013 and the love birds have teamed up again for ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
‘Diwali’ 2007 proved to be Shah Rukh Khan’s festival, and now we wait to see who will Christmas 2015 battle. A period drama and a romantic action flick are pitted against each other with A-list cast.
