PM Narendra Modi on Sunday glided the thought of holding weeklong exam Celebrations in schools twice a year.
Modi said in his Mann Ki Baat radio programmme that exam Celebrations could help end the pressure encompassing examinations and go far in destressing students.
“Wouldn’t we be able to hold a weeklong exam Celebration twice a year which has ironical lyrics on exams? Wouldn’t we be able to have a cartoon challenge on examinations, or debates?… this buildup surrounding examinations will end then. Exams will turn into a Celebration,” Modi said.
“You are going to get great results, you are going to succeed. Transform exams into a Celebration… don’t consider examinations a burden…the whole climate will change,” Modi told the students.
“Rival yourself, concentrate on showing improvement over what you did yesterday,” Modi said.
