Driving can Reduce the Risk of Dementia

As per a recent study appeared in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, driving can reduce the risk of dementia.

As per this study, the use of a personal vehicle to drive can make the difference for especially older people to stay alert. It also gives them a feeling of self-control and independence. It could prove to be a way of getting out and stay active with decision making skills in application.

It was also found that when older people are forced to give up driving, their cognitive and physical functions continue to decline and can lead to Depression.

But, it is almost inevitable to stop driving during the process of aging so it is important to consider the adverse health consequences and make personal plans to keep mobile and stay active.
