The Central election commission has announced the date for the By-Polls for Warangal Lok Sabha seat. As per the EC, the election will take place on 21st November and the result will come out on 24th November.
A notification in this regard will be announced on 28th October. 4th November is the last date for filing nominations and the nominations can be withdrawn before 7th November.
The election for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat became imminent as the leader representing the constituency, Kadiyam Srihari, vacated the seat to join state cabinet.
BJP-TDP alliance is taking this election seriously. They plan to win the seat this time by cashing in on the acute differences among the TRS leaders in Warangal district. On the other hand, former Congress MP Rajaiah, who lost the seat to Kadiyam Srihari in the last elections, will contest again for the seat.
Amidst this, TRS is confident that they can retain the seat easily.
