GHMC Officials have forcibly taken over the Rs 40 crore worth land of former Congress Minister DK Aruna, at Jubilee Hills check post.
Former minister has been claiming for a long time that the property belongs to her and she even filed a case in the court. Society also claims that the property belongs to Aruna but the GHMC Officials made it clear the particular land does not belong to her or her husband Bharata Simha Reddy.
Commissioner Somesh Kumar had instructed the GHMC officials to demolish the illegal construction in the premises and destruction process of the establishments in the area was taken up amid tight security arrangements by the team led by Town Planning ACP Sekhar Reddy.
As per sources, Aruna is planning to move to the Supreme Court on this issue but she might receive another setback as there is no solid proof indicating that the land belongs to her.
