Hardik Patel, a young man with no political background, has challenged the dominance and popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gujarat state. His demand of reservation for the Patel Community in Gujarat state has garnered him many followers with equal number of detractors.
After attaining National recognition after his arrest for spearheading the agitation, he is now set to take the next step of launching his own political party named ‘Patel Nav Nirman Sena’ (PNNS), on September 30th in New Delhi.
Hardik will be the President of PNNS and Akhilesh Katiyar, who has been taking care of Patel’s action plan, will be the General Secretary. First National Executive Meeting of the party will be held on the launch date itself.
Hardik Patel has become a thorn in the flesh of Modi ever since the Patel Reservation movement was launched. With frequent agitations across Gujarat state and National capital, he has been very troublesome to the ruling parties of Gujarat and Centre.
