Here’s UN’s 6 New Sustainable Development Goals Advocates List

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appointed 6 new global figures as the new advocates to drive action and solidify global political will for the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals.

The United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on 9th of May has appointed 6 new global figures as the new advocates to drive action and solidify global political will for the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The UN said in a press release, “as the UN and partners around the world push towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, six new influential public figures came on board as official SDG Advocates on Thursday, committing themselves to the pursuit of the 17 goals on behalf of “Peace, prosperity, people, planet, and partnerships.”

Here’s a list of 6 new SDG advocates.

 “They are joining and overall group of 17, who are all committed to raising awareness, inspiring greater ambition, and pushing for faster action on the SDGs, which include the end of extreme hunger, poverty, and quality healthcare for all’ the UN said in a statement.

It also said, “the Advocates represent the universal character of the SDGs themselves, hailing from Governments, entertainment, academia, sport, business and activist organizations around the world.”
