Despite facing financial crunch position and requesting the Central Government for financial aid to build the capital city, Naidu has announced this much amount to the neighboring state and showed the humanitarian side. The relief package announced by AP is the highest among other states.

Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah was the first one to announce a flood-relief aid of Rs 5 crore for Tamil Nadu. Bihar govt. followed the suit with Rs 5 crore package. Surpassing them, AP has announced Rs 10 Crore aid.

Chandrababu has expressed deep sorrow over the devastation caused by floods and the loss of lives and property. He has also expressed confidence that the neighboring state would soon overcome the loss and grief.

During the floods, the AP government had promptly responded to the request of Tamil Nadu government to control the out-flowing flood water from the Krishnapuram and Pichtar dams.
