HMRL to cut down Half Acre from Annapurna Studios

Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, which has been creating problems for many, has now eyed the Annapurna Studios owned by Akkineni Nagarjuna. The studio built in vast seven acres of land, has always been controversial.

As per sources, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) authorities wants at least half acre of land belonging to Annapurna Studios. Khairatabad MLA Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy has recently personally met Annapurna Studios Management to discuss about the land acquisition.

As per sources, several individuals would lose their lands because of the metro rail that is passing along the route. This half acre land belonging to Annapurna Studios could be used by the Metro authorities either for the railway line purpose or to provide alternative land for those who would lose their properties.

Although Nagarjuna first refused to give away his land, he is forced by political biggies to oblige. Now, it is heard that the actor is planning to meet Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to discuss about compensation for parting away with the land.
