Here is another instance of E-commerce fraud where two Hyderabad based techies cheated E-Commerce giant Flipkart.
Naveen, an employee of Tech Mahindra and his friend, Atul Sharma, an Amazon employee, the residents of Hyderabad, have been taken into custody by police for duping Flipkart.
Going into details, in January this year, Naveen booked an iPhone 6 on Flipkart and he paid the amount using the credit card of his friend, Atul Sharma. After receiving the delivery, they called and complained to Flipkart that there was no iPhone in the package. Soon, Flipkart refunded the money.
The E-Commerce Giant came to know about the dupe during the audit. The iPhone was actually shipped so how can it be missed. Using IMEI Number, Flipkart found out that the phone is being used by an individual in Hyderabad. Interestingly, he is none other than Atul Sharma’s brother.
After being taken into custody, Naveen and Atul Sharma admitted to have duped Flipkart by providing wrong information about not receiving the phone. Flipkart is planning to take serious action against the two.
