According to a recent report released by credit Suisse, a Swiss multinational Investment bank and financial services company, India created a whopping 7,300 millionaires in the 12 months to mid-2018, taking the total number of millionaires to 343,000.
The report stated that around 91% of the adult Population in the country has wealth below $10,000. It further estimated that 3,400 adults in India have wealth more than $50 million, and 1,500 have over $100 million.
The United States continues to lead the list for the tenth year in a row, as the country during the reporting period contributed lion Share to global wealth, adding an $6.3 trillion.
China has emerged as the 2nd largest number of wealthy households, having added $2.3 trillion.
The quantity of the rich list in China is anticipated to raise by $23 trillion over the next 5 years, taking its share in global wealth from 16% in year 2018 to just above 19% by year 2023.
