Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ are not only in headlines for their epic clash at the Box Office on this date, but also for the huge protests against their release.
BJP activists at many party of north India are protesting against the release of Shah Rukh’s Dilwale for the actor’s recent comments over rising intolerance in the country. Even Maharashtra extreme Hindi outfits are unhappy over SRK as the actor recently donated Rs 1 Crore to Chennai flood victims but he didn’t care about the Farmers’ plight in Maharashtra.
On the other hand, Bajirao Matsnai became controversial as many feel that the history has been convoluted for cinematic purpose by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Main protests are seen in Mumbai and Pune as the story is based on a Maratha king named Bajirao. They are angry at the makes for distorting facts in the name of cinematic liberty.
Despite these protests, both the Films have released today and are getting positive reports.
