Team India opened their World cup title defence on a winning note by crushing most outstanding rivals Pakistan by 76 runs in their Pool B match at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

With this impressive triumph, India continued with their winning run against Pakistan in World Cup encounters.

Pakistan team failed to chase a 300 run mark in 50 overs.

This was the first match between arch rivals India and Pakistan.

Interestingly Pakistan has never won a match against India in world cup, ever.
