Proving certainty in each match, the defending world champions thrashed Bangladesh by 109 runs on Thursday in the quarter-finals of the World cup.
India elected to bat and reached total of 302 for 6 in its 50-overs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Bangladesh was all out for 193 in its chase.
Rohit Sharma, one of the Most Dangerous batsmen in the world, led India’s batting attack, hitting 137 runs in 126 balls (14 boundaries and three sixes).
The left-hand batsman Suresh Raina contributed with a speedy fire 65.
Six of Bangladesh’s batsmen scored more than twenty runs, but Nasir Hossain was the top scorer with 35 as India’s bowlers restricted the attack.
India will now play either against Australia or Pakistan in the semi-finals in Sydney next week and on present structure, they will be difficult to beat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed team India after it beat Bangladesh by 109 runs to enter the semis.
“Excellent game, excellent performance!Congrats yet again Team India,” Modi tweeted.
