India required a win in Bangalore on Wednesday in order to stay in the track for semi-finals while Bangladesh needed one to keep their weak semis dreams alive.
This is how India attained a wonderful one-wicket win in the final over bowled by Hardik Pandya.
19.1 – Pandya bowls to Mahmudullah which happens to be wide delivery and full steered to cover in the deep.
19.2 – Pandya to Mushfiqur. The batsman shuffles and Pandya bowls a wide and short of length ball which has absolutely no tempo. Six required of 4 balls
19.3 – Pandya to Mushfiqur. Batsman moves towards off and scoops one which is simply wide of Dhoni and it goes for four.
19.4 – Pandya to Mushfiqur. Rahim strikes it high and is captured at deep mid-wicket by Shikhar Dhawan. But batsmen handled to cross over and give Mahmudullah the strike. Mushfiqur gone.
19.5 – Pandya to Mahmudullah. Full-toss and it strikes simply at the top of Mahmudullah’s bat and goes toward deeps square-leg. Jadeja arrives and holds on to an excellent catch in the deep. Mahmudullah gone
Two needed off one ball
19.6 – Pandya to Hom. Wide and short length. Hom misses however batsmen set off for a run. Dhoni gathers up and set off to break the stumps. He is definitely speedier than the batsmen. Mustafizur Rahman run-out.
India win. Crowd is high in volume.
