Infosys to Open Largest Campus in Hyderabad

IT giant Infosys Technologies has made grand plans to open its largest facility in the world in Hyderabad in February next year. The 25,000-seat campus is coming up on the outskirts of Hyderabad, at Pocharam.

The first phase with 12,000 seating capacity is already set up and is ready for inauguration. This news was announced to media after Infosys chief executive officer Vishal Sikka met Telangana Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao at T-Hub. It is reported that Vishal Sikka invited KTR for the inauguration. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to inaugurate the new Infosys campus.

It may be noted that Infosys currently has a 10,000 seating capacity campus in the Gachibowli IT corridor. The company commenced work on its new campus in 2008 and the first phase with 12,000 seating capacity is completed and Operations are underway.

This move of setting up their biggest IT campus in Hyderabad clearly explains the upcoming IT boom in Hyderabad. As per a report, soon Hyderabad is going to topple Bangalore as the biggest IT services exporter.
