ISIS Fanatics Defaced Gandhi Statue on Republic Day

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Jaipur, Rajasthan was defaced on the eve of Republic Day by unidentified miscreants and wrote `ISIS Zindabad’ on the statue.

Apart from writing the slogan ‘ISIS Zindabad’ on the statue, a warning was also given over the possible terror threat on the auspicious eve, January 26th. The miscreants believed to be the supporters of the ISIS are yet to be traced by the cops.

The police have been on the alert in all Indian cities following possible terror attack threats on 26th Jan. NIA had already arrested 12 People across the country suspected to be having links with Terror outfits. All of them were remanded till February 5th after being produced in the court.

Mumbai’s Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has so far blocked 94 websites for allegedly provoking people to support the Islamic State fight. However, the incident taking place in Jaipur created a concern and the police are working hard to nab the culprits as they clearly are linked to the IS terror outfit.

Heavy security has been in place for the Republic Day parade to be attended by the French President.
