3 Karnataka police officials were suspended after a Video of a female dancer performing item Songs at a prison surfaced and went viral.
Few Kannada TV channels played a video on 27th January showing prisoners in the Dargah prison showering notes on a female dancer as she was performing item Songs. DGP (Prisons) Satyanarayana Rao rushed to Vijayapura prison and suspended jail-in-charge P S Ambekar, Warden Sampat and Head Constable Gundalli.
Much to the shame, this incident occurred on the Republic Day to celebrate the release of 38 prisoners for good behavior, attended by district in-charge Minister M.B. Patil also.

The DGP said that a team from Bengaluru would investigate this incident to find out how the item dancer was brought into the jail. He added that strict instructions would be given to all jail officials not to repeat such mistakes in future.
